Each student selects a topic or theory of interest on an area or specific subject within the Corporate Financial Management discipline.
Typewritten, double-spaced, not less than 1,500 word min. length at a 12-point font size. Find and use four (3) research articles from peer reviewed professional journals that directly relate to your topic in the development of your Review of Literature (available in hard copy or electronically from libraries).
Internet sources (www.) are not acceptable for this Review of Literature. Direct quotes limited to no more than 3% of the total work.
Utilize APA Format for Headings, Citations in Text, and the Reference List.
Topic is students choice (a topic or theory of interest on an area or specific subject within the Human Resource Management discipline) but must have Professors approval (50 possible points) and will be the same as presented in the PowerPoint. This work must not be a work previously submitted by the student to another class.
The paper will use the following REQUIRED format:
Title Page (On its own page, does not count toward total words)
Abstract (On its own page See APA Manual for the correct way to write an abstract, does not count toward words)
Introduction Section (Main heading – Start of Review of Literature text/word count)
Three Research Sections (Include a review of 3 Research articles of your choice Each research article will have its own main heading the text will be an explanation of the article). Each of the four sections will directly relate to the Title/Topic of your work. Each of the four sections will be a minimum of One Full Page at a 12-point font.
Critical Analysis of Research section (4 page minimum at a
12-point font)
References (Not part of word count. Do not to list
references not utilized in the body of the literature
review.) (DO NOT USE Wikipedia references, automatic letter
grade reduction for using the textbook or a Wikipedia source.)
Maximum of 150 points possible for this paper.
PowerPoint Presentation (50 points possible): this presentation should be long enough to provide for a 30-minute professional presentation (estimate 2 minutes per slide).
Suggestions for the PowerPoint Presentation:
Use a variety of text, pictures, and graphics
Focus on three or four main points, keep it simple to understand for the audience
Try to incorporate tasteful humor, if applicable
Do not use offensive words or terms
DO NOT USE casual language or expressions; keep a professional language and tone.
