Part A: Literature Review (40%)
Each group will perform a literature survey of one type of renewable energy
technologies (e.g., wind power, solar thermal, biofuel, and hydroelectricity) and HVDC
within the scopes of technology, application and development, etc., and its industrial
trends in Michigan or throughout the US.
Part B: Power Flow Study (60%)
Please submit the written report and other supporting files such as Matlab code and
PowerWorld files. The problems will be posted soon.
Evaluation:
1. Oral presentation
Each group is asked to give an oral presentation. Please upload your PowerPoint on time.
2. Written Report
Format: size 10 in Times New Roman font, single column and double spacing. For Part
A, a minimum of 6 pages is required (reference doesnt count for the page limit). For Part B, there is no page limit. Please upload your written report on time.
3. Group Peer Evaluation Form (confidential)
Please identify the roles of each team member. Please carefully evaluate the
performance of each member of your group, excluding yourself, over the period of the
group project. Please upload your group peer evaluation form on time.
