The idea was to promote organic recycling by empowering the jobless community in South Africa to manufacture organic compost. Company Purpose: To preserve our fragile environment by playing an active role in the growth and development of the organics recycling industry, by creating a sustainable business culture that creates jobs and alleviates poverty, whilst championing the recycling of organics. Composting can be accomplished through fairly simple and cost-efficient technologies, and can produce positive, sustainable environmental outcomes, i.e. a soil conditioner / fertilizer Public awareness and education campaigns and programmers regarding certain waste types is required in order to assist with not only separation at source, but diversion of organic waste from landfill, by means of potential home composting in urban / residential areas, as well as possible communal composting within the informal, lower-income areas.
