For this option you may critique any piece of professional social scientific research regarding vaccinations. The critique should include 1.) a one-page summary review of the article with a citation, the key causal claim of the article, and the findings that pertain to that claim; 2.) a summary of the research project, including a description of: the type of research, the sample, the ways that the independent and dependent variables are measured, other variables that are controlled and the method of control, and the use of statistics in the paper; and 3.) a detailed discussion of the social research issues which arise from the project you have summarized. Here you critique the research project in terms of the validity of the conclusions drawn. All research issues should be discussed, including: research design, internal validity, external validity, sampling, measurement, control, and statistics. The final critique should be 8 pages (typed and double-spaced), and a hard copy of the article that is used should accompany the final critique paper. (100 points possible: 25 for review, 25 for the project summary, 50 for final critique)
