Research Assignment
Go to pubmed.gov and search a term/article of your personal interest as it relates to allied health or human anatomy and physiology (Should say free article at the bottom right of the description) ex. Gait biomechanics post ACL repair
Write a reflection paper that is at least 1 page long.
o No larger than 12p font, and/or 1.5 line spacing.
The paper should answer the following questions:
– What was the hypothesis/research questions asked?
o What is the purpose of the research, and what are they trying to figure out?
– What year was it published?
– What methods were used to obtain data?
o A brief synopsis of how they conducted the research which should be found in the methods section
– Was there a control group?
o Was there a group that they compared the treatment group to: someone who received a different treatment, no treatment, or sham treatment?
– What were the results of the study?
o Was the hypothesis accepted, or rejected? This information is usually found in the conclusion section of the paper.
– What were some terms or information that was difficult to understand?
– What useful information did you obtain from reading the article?
