Final Paper: This assignment is designed to help you reflect upon interactions with patients, patients families, the interdisciplinary team, and colleagues. This assignment requires you to articulate how you have integrated what you have learned about various emotional, cognitive, motivational and other communication strategies. You will discuss actual interactions and the paper will be evaluated based on your thoughtful discussion. Students will draw upon theories and models discussed during on line and found in scholarly literature. Students will also specifically discuss skills from each domain, e.g., use of self, assessment, intervention and evaluation as noted in Skills Checklist. The 5-7-page paper (excluding cover sheet and references) must be typed in Times New Roman,12 font double-spaced and written in a scholarly manner (i.e. different from your journal entries). Please provide a cover sheet and headings. When references are used, please follow APA (6th Ed.) guidelines for manuscript preparation. Rubric for Assignment: a.
