Assignment # 2-November 16-2019 Case Study Directions All students are required to write a case study. The case study should be 1- in length and. include additional research about the case in order to complete this assignment. The purpose of a case study is to walk the reader through a situation where a problem is present, background information is provided and a description of the solution given, along with how it was derived. A good case study doesnt tell the readers what to think. It guides the reader through the thought process used to create the final conclusion. Introduction Clearly state the problem Identify the key problems and issues in the case study (at least 2-5 key problems) -how do they impact the organization, who is responsible for them Identify the key/primary stakeholders Formulate and include a thesis statement that summarizes the key problems and issues Background Background is the information discovered that describes why there is a problem. This will consist of facts and figures from authoritative sources. Set the scene: provide the background information, relevant facts, and identify the most important issues. Describe the environment of the case- what specific constraints and opportunities does the environment provide? Discuss the primary stakeholders and what are their objectives Provide research support that shows you have researched the problems in this case study Evaluation Outline the various pieces of the case study you are focusing on State what pieces are working and what arent Evaluation of what is working and what is not working What are the possible resource limitations? Recommendations/Solutions Determine and discuss specific strategies for accomplishing the proposed solution Recommend further action to resolve some of the issues What should be done and who should do it.
