Each constitution was a reflection of the ideas of the people of that time on what framework of government should be in place. Before you answer the following essay, take time to review both Chapters 1 and 2 taking special note of the main provisions of each constitution and how Texas has changed from the date we ratified our current constitution compared to Texas today.
