This is going to be a part of Master thesis. Theoretical part so far covers : 1. Literature review 2. Methodology 3.What is development : Modernization, World System and Dependency theories. 4.What is development aid perceived from Realist, Neoliberal and Constructionists perspective. 5. Structure of US and China aid agencies. This part to be written have to include: 1. 3 pages – USA and development aid in Ethiopia top activities of US foreign aid agency (anything with link to the above theories has to be mentioned) 2. 3 pages – China and development aid in Ethiopia top activities of US foreign aid agency (given that China has no a clear definition of what is development aid. Grants and all forms of loans to be included), (anything with link to the above theories has to be mentioned) 3. 4 pages – how did China changed the development aid landscape in Africa and more specifically in Ethiopia. Empirical data to be used from: 1. Official Chinese white paper and other documents 2.
