The students will have to write a research paper on an occupational or safety topic consistent with this course and at a level worthy of graduate work. The topic should be of relevance to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The student will discuss issues regarding the scientific evaluation on the issues and scientific evidence surrounding the issues. Paper should be typed using APA style (double-spaced, 1 inch margin all around). The paper will have to follow the outline below: 1. Statement of the problem & significance of the problem 2. Monitoring, Detection, Diagnosis of hazard / health problem 3. Past and existing studies conducted; validity and generalizability of studies 4. Methodology that led to law and regulation along with their implementation and/or enforcement, policy 5. Prevention and control (primary, secondary, tertiary; 3Es education, engineering, enforcement) 6. Future direction research needs / socio-political / law-enforcement / health education 7.
