“This research paper identifies a problem in education, clarifies relevant ways to address the problem, and explores different perspectives regarding the future of education.” I would like to the paper to be over educational funding and the problem we are having with it. It is causing unequal education opportunity to students. I work in a title 1 school in Texas and see the problems first hand. My students come to work in the same clothes and are always hungry and other student’s cant focus because a student hasn’t taken a shower in a month so they smell up the entire classroom. Our teachers get paid the lowest in the area, we have a cockroach problem because our building is so old but don’t have the money to fix it. Teachers don’t get an allowance to spend on stuff for the classroom. Students can’t afford any schools supplies so teachers buy it for them out of their own pocket. Almost all of the students take the bus and don’t have a way to come to school early or stay late after for tutoring on a subject they struggle in.
