Explain the character of your choice of topic(Blockchain) and illustrate how it may influence companies in managing their supply chains.

Recent advances and future developments in supply chain management The intensified off?shoring and outsourcing of manufacturing in recent decades has transformed supply chains dramatically. Besides geographical dispersion, increasing fragmentation of manufacturing has made it difficult to determine exactly where and by whom many components or even final products are made. Both, global dispersion and fragmentation, have led to extremely complex and vulnerable supply chain networks that can often only be handled by the help of powerful IT systems. However, recent developments such as increasing servitisation of manufacturing, near? shoring and the introduction of new vibrant technologies have the potential to re?shape supply chain networks and the way products and services will be provided in the future. In the light of these developments, the coursework aims at analysing latest development in supply chain management in order to discuss likely future trajectories. Please select one of the following advancements and developments of Blockchain. and discuss within your group its implications for supply chain management. The coursework should address the following guiding questions: 1. Explain the character of your choice of topic and illustrate how it may influence companies in managing their supply chains. 2. Would the considered development have an impact on the way different companies interact in a supply chain? If so, how? 3. How would the considered development influence uncertainties in the supply chain and the way firms manage it? 4. What are potential barriers to or drawback of its implementation and what the most likely future trajectories are to your opinion? Need to answer only question 1 !!!!!! and discuss within your group its implications for supply chain management. The coursework should address the following guiding questions: 1.
