One goal of this class is for students to become more economically literate, meaning you should be
able to read, understand, and analyze news articles written on macroeconomic issues. Additionally, one
goal of the Chowan University general education program is for students to demonstrate effective
conveying and receiving of information, and students completing a degree in Business Administration
will be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. To that end, students are expected
to complete a written article summary.
You will find a minimum of 3 news articles that relate to a single macroeconomic topic. You may
use more than 3 articles. These articles should be no more than 1 year old (i.e. articles should
not be dated prior to November 2018).
