Discussion # 7: Drama can come in many different forms, and for most writers it is presented in the form of a play. But what is remarkable about plays is that they seem to display more emotion that a narrator or a first person text. Thinking generally about this unit in Drama: what are the major differences you have seen in A Raisin in the Sun versus the literature and poetry we have read throughout the semester? Do you agree with the above statement that many people have a preconceived notion that plays are dramatic, or you think there is a different element to that? What has been your favorite type of literature so far? Furthermore, if you could ask any three questions about “A Raisin in the Sun” to your classmates, whether the question is directly related to a character or event in the play, any questions about anything you were confused about or had a problem with, or a general question on literature and drama, what would those three questions be?
